ZumbaCards vs Card Crush

The two single-currency battle card platforms, and the only two still open in California and New York. One is far cheaper per coin. The other is the one you can verify.

The short answer

If you plan to buy coins more than once, Card Crush is better value and it is not close. Its standard boxes price Mystery Coins at $0.50 to $0.57 against $2.00 on ZumbaCards, and both redeem at $1.00. That is roughly a fourfold difference on every purchase after the first.

If you plan to buy once and play out the balance, ZumbaCards is the safer pick. Its welcome box matches Card Crush on price, its state list is verifiable where Card Crush's is contested, its library is three times larger, and its cards do not expire.

Coin price: the number that decides it

Both platforms redeem at $1.00 per coin, so the only question that matters is what a coin costs going in.

ZumbaCards is the better first purchase only marginally, and the far worse second one. Its Loyalty Club discounts of 30–50% exist to close that gap, but the tiers that matter are a long way off: Bronze needs 250 XP at 5 XP per day, which is 50 days of daily tournaments, and only the top tier brings the price down to the $1.00 you can redeem at.

States: 48 verified against a contested 40

This is the clearest difference, and it runs the other way.

ZumbaCards names 48 states on its own verification screen and excludes Nevada and Washington. We read that screen ourselves and captured it.

Card Crush is harder to pin down. Third-party operator listings put it in 40 states. Its own published terms of service, read on 15 September 2026, say the service is offered in California and New York only. Both cannot be true, and in a dispute it is the terms you agreed to that govern your account — not an aggregator's table.

Cards: the one that catches collectors out

Card Crush cards expire after 60 consecutive days of inactivity, and retire at the end of each season regardless. Its battle system is deeper — nine affinities against four, with deterministic resolution by Battle Score — but the collection is rented, not kept.

ZumbaCards states no expiry and no seasonal reset. Duplicates raise a card's level permanently, and XP earned carries into Loyalty Club discounts. If the collecting is the point for you rather than the slots, that is the difference.

Cashing out

Card Crush has the lower floor and the slower pipe: 75 MC minimum for cash, gift cards from just 10 MC, one request per 48 hours, up to 10 days to arrive, capped at $10,000 a day.

ZumbaCards sets a 100 SC minimum with no gift-card route at all, one request per 72 hours, and pays in 2 to 5 business days. It also applies 5x playthrough to bonus coins where Card Crush charges a flat 1x — so a $50 ZumbaCards welcome box needs 300 SC of play before the full balance unlocks.

Verdict

What works

  • Pick ZumbaCards if you want one welcome box and a big library to spend it in
  • You want a state list you can check against the operator’s own screen
  • You collect, and want cards that do not expire
  • You want money back in 2–5 days rather than up to 10

What to watch

  • Pick Card Crush if you expect to buy coins more than once
  • You want a lower cash-out floor, or gift cards from 10 coins
  • You want flat 1x playthrough with no bonus-coin penalty
  • You are in California or New York, where its terms are unambiguous

Neither holds a gaming licence. Neither offers a mail-in free entry. Both rest on an untested legal argument in the two states that make them interesting. Whichever you pick, treat box purchases as entertainment spending rather than an investment — at ZumbaCards' standard rate you are paying $2.00 for something redeemable at $1.00.

ZumbaCards figures are our own. Card Crush figures come from its published terms and from third-party coverage, because we have not run an account there — where those disagree, we say so above rather than choosing one. Full method on how we test.
