How the ZumbaCards model works

ZumbaCards does not run the two-currency structure most sweepstakes casinos use. Understanding the difference explains most of the platform's economics.

The usual sweepstakes structure

A typical sweepstakes casino runs two currencies. One is free, has no cash value and exists so you can play without paying. The second can be redeemed for cash, and crucially it can be obtained without buying anything — normally by posting a request, the alternative method of entry (AMOE). That free route is the legal foundation of the model.

What ZumbaCards does instead

The operator’s position is that a single-currency platform is not a dual-currency sweepstakes casino, and so is not what the 2025–2026 state bans describe. That argument is untested: no court or regulator has endorsed it as of 9 October 2026. We set out the detail on where it’s legal.

What you actually buy

A box contains 5 battle cards and a fixed Surprise Coin balance. The cards have gameplay value but no cash value — they never convert to money. They earn XP, which unlocks Loyalty Club discounts on later boxes.

That matters when judging the price. A $199.99 Pro box credits exactly 100 SC, the redemption minimum, worth $100 at break-even play. The other $100 buys cards and the chance of a rare one.

Playthrough

What Playthrough
Purchased Surprise Coins 1x
Bonus Surprise Coins 5x

A $50 welcome box credits 100 SC — 50 purchased and 50 bonus — and so requires 50 + 250 = 300 SC of play before the whole balance unlocks for redemption.

Redemption

Redemption needs 100 SC minimum, identity verification through Veriff with a physical photo ID, and pays by ACH or debit push-to-card. One redemption per 72 hours. Typically 2–5 business days, with reports of up to 10. No crypto payouts, despite crypto being accepted for purchases.

Eligibility

21+, in one of the 48 accepted states, one verified account per person. Nevada and Washington are excluded by the operator.

Where disputes go

Disputes go to the operator — live chat inside the platform, or their support email. We cannot resolve account or payment disputes; we are an independent review site with no access to your account. The operator’s own terms, privacy policy and sweepstakes rules govern play.
